The Priest Spring is named after Father Mahoney, a Catholic Priest who was ‘cured’ of his crippling arthritis from bathing in the waters in 1878. The slightly acidic water from the Priest Spring relieves tired muscles, aches and pains.

The Rachel Spring is a source of alkaline water, which features the antiseptic action of sodium silicate nourishing the skin. It was historically said that those who bathe in the waters of the Rachel Spring are blessed with ageless beauty

Loved it! - So peaceful after a long active day in Rotorua! I love that it's right in the city center, yet offers a beautiful view of the lake from two of the pools. It can be confusing on what to book, but just bring a towel, trust the open bins for your stuff, and get the basic pavilion pools, which gives you 8 pools to choose from. They'll always have people in them, but they're each so large, it really doesn't feel too crowded even on a public holiday, unless you go to the separately purchased family pool (pure chaos). My boyfriend and I truly loved this place and its alkaline and acidic geothermal all-natural jacuzzis!

Relax and revitalise - After a busy day experiencing local activities this was the perfect end. Peaceful and relaxing, lying back and soaking up the warmth of the pools looking at the stars. It certainly eased away the aches of the day

This is a MUST DO in Rotorua! - A wonderful experience enjoyed as a couple - we went on 2 consecutive days, on weekdays. The pools were not crowded, but I imagine that if you go on a weekend that might be different. Several pools to choose from - a selection of acidic and alkaline pools, of varying temperatures. It was just wonderful ! We spend 2-3 hours there each time, and left feeling warm, super-relaxed, and in somewhat of a 'zen' state! I'd recommend going late in the afternoon, and being there as the sun sets over the lake - views are wonderful and it's a lovely feeling to be in the hot pools as the outside temperature drops. Then go to any number of the great eateries that are in Rotorua. Staff are very service oriented and friendly. Facilities are very clean, spacious and appropriate. There's a nice looking cafe (we didn't avail so can't comment on the food, but all looked good), and there's a great souvenir store selling everything you might need from swimsuit (great if you forgot to pack one), through lotions, local mud packs, bags, soaps, books, t-shirts, sunglasses, etc. This is a great attraction and I'd definitely recommend it.

Perfect setting to relax - Visiting the pools was such a treat. The staff are all very helpful and attentive. The pools are wonderful, so warm, relaxing, just such a lovely experience. Sitting in the pool overlooking lake Rotorua as the sun was going down and watching the bird life was stunning.

Enjoy sunset above the lake from mineral water pools - I visited this spa on the last day of the year, to have proper relax and to celebrate a bit. I recommend to go for the terrace pools outside with hot mineral water. Each pool has a bit different temperature, so you will definitely find your sweet spot. Or you will migrate between them according to your current mood, as I did. The view over the lake below the spa is nice, but you will only see something during the day, not much when it's already dark outside. Count with the fact that your swimming suit will stink after minerals when staying in the mineral water pools. Only two washing machine cycles helped with mine. This is very much expected, just count with it.

Kids at the Spa - Great treatment but couldn’t understand why spa pools were full of smaller children splashing around. I love being around children just not at a spa day.

Relaxing - A little disappointing, it would have been nice to have been educated about how to best use your time and what pools to enhance the health benefits. Pools where clearly labelled just not sure which ones to use first so we did hottest to cool. Refreshing and relaxing afternoon with friends. Clean and tidy. Staff checking pool temperatures Shower, toilet and changing facilities clean and tidy. Good supply of towels, shampoo, soap and conditioner if wanting to use.

Expensive, poor equipment and cheap vibes - I tried Pavilion Pools for NZ$40. Not worth it! Facility was similar to public swiming pools and the ambiance was nothing we can call "Polynecian". The only one advantage was the lake view, but wasn't worth $40! 特に日本人は10人中10人ガッカリすると思います。この値段でこれ。。。

Sad soak - Very unpleasant experience. Found the duty manager to be extremely rude when I spoke to her. Its a real shame to see a such a lovely natural resource exploited
