- Royal Palace - This beautiful Barroque-style Royal Palace is right in front of us as we meet and start the tour. We talk the Royal Family and the Swedish monarchy before walking over the bridge towards the City Area.
- Strömkajen - One of two main ports downtown with boats departing to the massive Stockholm archipelago. Did you know the archipelago in Stockholm consists of more than 30 000 (!) islands?
- Grand Hôtel - We will pass by the stunning Grand Hotel, which is right next to the National Museum as well as the main port with boats departing to the Stockholm archipelago.
- Nationalmuseum - The National Gallery is one of the oldest art museums in Europe, and one of the biggest museums in Sweden. This museum is right next to the Grand Hotel.
- The Royal Dramatic Theatre - We will pass the Royal Theatre, located right next to Raoul Wallenberg Square as well as the second main port with boats to the archipelago islands. Behind the Royal Theatre are some of the main Shopping streets and gallerias. Your guide will point out some Shopping recommendations nearby!
- Raoul Wallenberg torg - Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish WWII hero who is remembered for saving up to 100 000 lives of Jewish people in the years of WWII. We visit his memorial square, right at the second main port, where we cover his story and the Swedish “neutrality” during the war.
- The Royal Swedish Opera - We pass both the Royal Swedish Opera from the 1700’s. Did you know that in this very building the Swedish King in 1792 was shot and murdered during a masquerade?
- Parliament Building (Riksdagshuset) - Of course, there is no City Tour without passing by the Parliament building from the outside as well as the Swedish White House and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is also where we enjoy a little “Fika” break and eat some Swedish sweets.
- Drottninggatan - Final stop! Naturally, not everything around the downtown area is filled with viking-inspired history, cultural sights and old architecture. For the last stop of the City Tour your guide will take you to one of the main Shopping street Drottninggatan (Queen Street) and give you some Shopping recommendations before saying goodbye.
After the tour, your guide will stay around for a chat, answer any questions you might have, and happily give you any recommendations you might have!

Welcome/Willkommen! Our City Walking Tour sums up Stockholm City in 90 minutes. You will learn new things about Stockholm while enjoying the breathtaking surroundings. You will understand why we call our city “the Capital of Scandinavia”!
Meet your guide in front of the Royal Palace (“Skeppsbron”). After introducing the Royal Family we walk towards the Grand Hotel, enjoying the view of one of two main ports with boats departing to the archipelago.
After passing the National Gallery and getting a view of Djurgården, we head over to the Royal Theatre and Raoul Wallenberg Square. We later pass by both the Parliament and the Royal Opera.
We cover some Shopping areas as we enjoy a “Fika” together in front of the Parliament. Final stop is at the crossing between Sagerska Huset (the White House) and the street Drottninggatan.
After the tour your guide will stay around for a chat, hand out maps and happily help you with any recommendations, depending on what you might be looking for!
