Great way to see St Marks and Doge’s Palace - Another great private tour booked with Viator. St Marks is beautiful and our guide did a great job explaining what made St Marks unique among the major basilicas of Italy. She tools some great pictures of us along the way which was nice. The tour of the Doge’s palace was also well done and very interesting. I’m terrible with names so can’t remember her name but she was excellent and we were very pleased with our private tour.

History Comes to Life - Learn something new everyday! Everything was smooth and going well until my headphones didn’t work. My guide took good care of me, got me all set up and we continued on without a glitch.

Worth the tour! - This was a great quick tour. It was nice that you could explore doges palace more, if you wanted to at the end. My tour guide had. Great personality and did a great job at keeping everyone together. Unfortunately I do not remember his name, but he put a lot of humor in his tour, which prevented it from being too dull, which I was worried about! Overall, a great tour, without it I definitely wouldn't have been able to comprehend all of the history around me

Perfectly Balanced - The trip for both the Palace and the Basilica were highly informative, our tour guide educated us on the symbolism, history, highlights and features not to be missed. She had the skill to move on at the right time and we felt we had a comprehensive and valuable experience.

Perfect Venice - Simply, a perfect tour. Our guide was extremely professional and dedicated, as well as having excellent knowledge

Knowledgeable guide and open to questions - We were given radios each to hear the tour guide who was very knowledgeable and open to answer questions, we stopped at the top of the basilica to watch the squares clock chime and take pictures. It's a shame we didn't get time to explore a bit more ourselves once the tour was given as we didn't seem to stop, but overall it was good.

Good to skip the line - It was good to skip the line, but unfortunately the visit was quite short and not too organised. I would have liked to get more information and insights on history of the sites from the guide. Now the tour was quite light.

Waste of time and money - The guide was late, complained of a sore throat and talked so soft and fast she was hard to understand, didn't even catch her name. And I have a Nonna straight from Sicily so accents don't matter. Walked quickly thru crowed streets, didn't wait for her small group (only 8 of us) to catch up before talking about something she was pointing out. Thank god there was a tall guy in the group we could keep our eye on to follow!! In St Mark's Basilica, a soaring grand cathedral with beautiful mosaics, art, architecture- she talked about the tile floor rooster, griffin, and eagle...OMG! We made it over to the Doge Palace, ditched her and had a wonderful tour on our own with an audio we rented there....DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT!!

Tour guide not available - It was unfortunate but the tour guide was in a car accident and no tour occurred. We were provided with tickets 20 minutes after the tour was to start and told where to enter the building. Waiting for a refund
