Amazing winery and tour - Absolutely amazing tour. I highly recommend this company. Ryan is fabulous! Beautiful family owned winery and delicious wine and food.

Spectacular - In addition to the vineyard tour and wine tasting we were treated to some folk dancing and grape stomping. This marked the harvest season. Meal was provided - cheese, salami appetizer followed by platters of delicious grilled meat. It was a feast!

Tannat tasting in the Uraguayan countryside - We had an exceptional time visiting a small family run winery just about 45 min outside of Montevideo with our excellent guide, Miguel. The wines served were all excellent but the standouts to us were the Alta Gama Tannat and the Tannat/Tempranillo blend. We highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful experience with Wine Lovers! - Ryan and Javier were great and Alejandra at the winery was very kind, showed us a lot and answered so many questions. The tasting was an incredible experience - the ambience, the wine, the music it was all great! Also, very grateful to Ryan for adding me as a solo passenger to the cruise ship group and for the many suggestions on places to see and restaurants to check out in Montevideo - it’s been a wonderful visit and I can’t wait to come back to sunny Uruguay!

Exceptional family winery tour with superb guide - Excellent tour if you want a private and intimate winery experience. Four generations have tended the vineyards at Casa Grande, producing small-batch wines of excellent quality. But the best part was the friendly and welcoming family who shared their experiences, along with our exceptional guide Dario. They all made sure we had a great time, learned a lot about winemaking, and enjoyed some fabulous wines. Special thanks to Dario whose local knowledge and love for his home country made it a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend.

If you enjoy wine, you have to go! - Lovely day trip out of Montevideo into the wine region. Miguel the tour guide and Alejandra at the winery made it such a great time. Their hospitality and passion for the industry comes through as soon as you meet them. It was the most detailed and insightful wine tour that I’ve been on anywhere in the world. And of course, the wines sampled were all delicious.

A must do in Montevideo - A day of fun, friends, food and wine. The Winery is about 1 hr from Montevideo. Tour operator communicates very well ensuring you have a great time. Our guide Miguel was exceptional. The winemaker hosted the tour educationing us on the vines and varietals. They had just flowered. Be sure to have the lunch. Well worth the additional cost. A full lunch and exceptional food. Provided one of our guests great vegetarian and gluten free options. Great quality wines. The winemaker reintroduced me to a terrific Cab Franc.

A Fantastic Wine Experience! - I can't praise The Wine Experience enough. This was my second time with them, and it was another exceptional day. Communication with Ryan, the owner, couldn't have been better, he was always responsive, and worked with us to accommodate our unusual needs, as our group needed to board a ship in the afternoon. This is a very high quality experience and I felt like excellent value for the money and a great way to spend a day outside Montevideo. Everyone enjoyed everything about the trip, including some who normally don't care for reds, but enjoyed everything! The wines were high quality (Castillo Viejo) with a great tour with a winemaker and one of the family owners. It was a unique experience at a true winery, where we could see how everything worked. While they grow their grapes in a region better suited for higher quality wines, they have planted a tiny vineyard with multiple vines to really teach us and show the differences. The setting is beautiful outside and the tasting and light lunch was underground and really an outstanding setting. Our driver, Daniel, was prompt and professional and picked us up at pre-agreed pickup points, perfect timing. Thank you Ryan and The Wine Experience! Keep up the fantastic work!
