Highlights

Darwin to Kakadu National Park

Kakadu National Park - Begin your journey by departing from Darwin and heading to the Mary River Wetlands region aboard the Corroboree Billabong Wetland Cruise. This is a fantastic chance to see a wide variety of Top End birdlife, as well as some top predators… crocodiles!
We continue to Kakadu National Park, stopping at the Bowali Visitor Centre, which provides a wonderful introduction to the Park’s landscape and wildlife. After some relaxation at camp, we will head north to *Cahills Crossing on the border of Kakadu and Arnhem Land. We will visit Ubirr rock at sunset, home to one of the best-preserved collections of Aboriginal rock art in the world. This highly significant site features various styles of rock art and offers a climb to a high vantage point for a breathtaking sunset view over the Nadab Floodplain. After a full day, we return to our cozy private camp to prepare dinner together and enjoy the evening with fellow travelers.

Kakadu Waterfalls & Plunge Pools

Kakadu National Park - On day 2, we rise early and head south in Kakadu National Park. Today, we’ll spend the day enjoying the area’s stunning natural beauty, hiking through lush monsoon rainforests, and swimming in pristine plunge pools and waterfalls surrounded by steep escarpments and rocky cliffs.
We aim to visit one or more of the available waterfalls, depending on the group’s ability to complete the hike(s). This could include Motor Car Falls, Moline Rockhole, Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), or Jim Jim Falls. Various factors affect accessibility, but your guide will ensure you have the best experience possible.
If time permits, we will stop at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock), another indigenous rock art site where archaeologists have found works dating back over 20,000 years. We will explore the area’s social, cultural, and environmental changes over time before heading back to camp for a hearty dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Litchfield National Park to Darwin

Litchfield National Park - An exciting day awaits as we leave Kakadu National Park and travel towards Litchfield National Park.
We will spend the afternoon enjoying Litchfield’s natural oasis of waterfalls, spring-fed streams, and rugged sandstone escarpments. We’ll visit a combination of Buley Rockholes, Wangi Falls, or Florence Falls for a refreshing dip in picturesque rock holes and waterfalls.
Discover the uniquely impressive Magnetic and Cathedral Termite Mounds before heading back to Darwin, arriving at your accommodation at approximately 7:00 pm.

Fantastic experience - Our tour guide Dani was fantastic. We not only saw most of the beautiful landscape the National Parks have to offer, we also learnt so much of the rich and diverse culture of the peoples who have lived there for thousands of years . A perfect blend of beauty, learning, and laughter. The camp cooks also did an amazing job of keeping us well fed and looked after.

Amazing sites, awesome people, outstanding guide! - I was interested in seeing the Aboriginal rock art, experiencing the Australian national parks and meeting other travelers, while hiking and camping in the outback. Carlos our guide was very competent, knowledgeable, energetic and fun! Our group of 17 consisted of such interesting, diverse, helpful and friendly people-this only enhanced the whole experience. The campground was well kept and comfortable with hot showers, a refreshing swimming pool and a large mess hall/gathering place with electricity to charge our phones. It was a very fun, life enriching time and great value for the dollar.

5 out of 5 - Our tour guides, Carlos and Tom, did an amazing job making sure everyone in the group felt happy, comfortable, and had fun all along the trip! We saw the most beautiful nature in both Kakadu National Park and Litchfield, the camping area was extraordinary, and we learned a lot about the culture, language and dreamtime stories of the indigenous people. We were only away for three days but we got together as a group really quickly - all thanks to Carlos and Tom. I am really happy I went on this trip while visiting the NT!

Amazing tour in Kakadu National Park - We spent amazing 3 days in Kakadu National Park. Both of our tour guides, Tim and Darrell, were excellent, and very kind. They shared a lot of stories and information about the attractions, and we had enough time to check and enjoy every spots. The campsite was well-equipped, it was perfect for a 2-night-stand. We highly recommend this tour if you travel to Darwin.

A trip to remember for years to come - We have just returned to Darwin after 3 amazing days on this tour. Daryl, our driver and tour leader, was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and went out of his way to make our experience the best it could be. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and there were members of the team helping to prepare the meals. The accommodation was better than we were expecting and you can even charge your phone! The waterfall swimming was the highlight of the trip but there were so many things that you will remember. The group ranged from late teens to mid 60’s and gelled really well, making the whole trip so much more enjoyable. If you are thinking about going but are not sure we would definitely recommend it.
